Happy (4 month old) Birthday
Jax is 4 months old today. He has changed so much. He has gone from sleeping most of the day to being alert most of the day, from being up every hour and a half at night to sleeping 8 hours, from not making much noise at all to babbling and smiling all the time, from starring at you with foggy eyes to watching you walk across the room, from bobble head to sitting in the bumbo chair and playing in the johnny jump up, from hating baths to smiling and splashing water all over the place, from staying home with mom to being such a good boy at daycare. I obviously could go on and on. Our lives have changed a lot too since becoming parents, from staying up late to watch tv to going to bed at 9pm, from worrying about what to make for supper to being happy there's milk in the frig and cereal in the cupboard, from freaking out about clutter on the countertops to making sure there is a toy-free path to navigate from the living room to the upstairs, from taking long showers and checking email in the morning to getting up extra early to feed Jax and get him ready and hardly ever getting breakfast in, from taking Ike for walks to giving Ike a bone because we are too exhausted to go for a walk... These are all welcome changes and we are excited to see what lies ahead. p.s. Jax had a busy day at daycare today- he had a blowout before 8am and then peed all over one of his teachers in the afternoon. He also was flirting with the new little girl, already a heartbreaker.
